Why Netflix's Movie Library Is Shrinking

October 14, 2016
Netflix's movie library is shrinking. As of September 2016, the streaming giant had just 31 of IMDB's Top 250 movies. That's about 12%. But why?

One, it's expensive to license all of those popular movies and two, Netflix has switched it's focus to orginial content.

According to Streamingobserver.com, Netflix's CFO David Wells said they want half of its content to be original productions over the next few years.
