SPCA Wednesday! Meet Cotton!

August 30, 2017

“Hi! I love you! You’re the best! You’re so cool! When can we go home together?!” This is Cotton, once he first meets you. Always in a good mood, he doesn’t waste a second getting to know you – he just assumes you’re the next love of his life! In other words, this guy is a real charmer, so watch out!

This very sweet and affectionate Chihuahua is blind and 10 years old. But please don’t let this information fool you – he’s still a puppy at heart! Experience with blind dogs isn’t necessary for his adoption! Our behavior and training staff will be happy to talk with potential adopters about his training, which really won’t be much different than a dog that can see. It’s all about building a trusting relationship with positive interactions!

Despite being blind, Cotton loves to explore outside in the play yards and can be very independent. He loves to go for slow walks that allow him to stop and smell everything and take it all in. However, in an SPCA real life room, with a little direction, Cotton will crawl into your lap where he will soak up the extra love and attention!

An empathetic SPCA volunteer who is also visually-impaired loves this little dog so much, that she has generously donated his adoption fee!

If you've got room in your life for a charming entertainer, Cotton will be a great addition! Meet him at the SPCA's 300 Harlem Road, West Seneca shelter! For more information, call the SPCA: 716-875-7360, ext. 211!
