  • Winebags.com recently asked 1,000 people what the most attractive drink orders are on a first date. Wine topped the list followed by craft beer, water, a mixed drink, top shelf liquor, and well liquor Other findings:

    - 47% of people frown upon a man, who orders a sugary or colorful drink.

    - 21% of people frown upon a man, who orders tequila.

  • Elite Daily claims scientists are in the process of developing a red wine pill that gives you the same health benefits of drinking red wine without hangovers or headaches. Fitness magazine claims Florida scientists are trying to get the compound Resveratrol from dissolving too quickly. The compound provides protection against cancer and increases endurance.

  • The Crossroad Company, of Baltimore, Maryland, has created a wine ice cream. Flavors include chocolate covered strawberry and mixed berry. Cartons cost $14.99. Liquid nitrogen is used to create the ice cream

  • A study by Washington State University and Harvard reveals that drinking one to two glasses of wine every night may help curb your appetite. Researchers found that wine contains resveratrol, which stops fat cells from gaining more fat. Wine also makes you feel fuller

  • Napa Valley's Molinari Private Reserve has created a wine-infused coffee. They spent two years working a house made red into coffee beans. The coffee has a hint of blueberry. A half pound bag sells for $19.95

  • A study by the analytics firm Enolytics reveals that wine o'clock is a real thing. The company studied 2 million pieces of data to determine that wine o'clock begins at 4:45 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. local time. Wine o'clock peaks between 6 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

  • A survey by Mintel reveals that only 26% of people view boxed wine as inferior to bottled wine. 43% of people say rose wine (boxed wine) is their favorite alcoholic drink
