Buffalo Bills Schedule Released! Rob sez...

April 15, 2016

The Bills schedule is out, and it’s by no means normal.  2 Prime-time games, 3 visits out West, and 3 home games in December (bundle up!).  Click for the sched and thoughts from SB Nation/Buffalo Rumblings.

Rob Lucas’ thoughts (we knew you’d ask):

  • The opener in Baltimore is a FABULOUS road trip!  Hop a Southwest flight to BWI around 8 or 9 Sunday morning, take the 20 min cab or train ride to the inner harbor, watch the game, and head back to the airport for an early evening flight home (if the plane schedules accommodate).  You may be back home faster than you are for some home games!
  • The home opener on a Thursday vs the Jets will sell out.  Lots of Jets fan/NYC UB students will buy tix.  It will also be a big test to see how our city behaves.  No need to see any bodies in ditches after the game.  Brutal, I know, but it’s happened.  Too often.
  • No Kansas City game?  How did that happen?  Nice to not see the Chiefs this year.
  • The Bills play a Monday night game in Seattle Monday November 7th.  Which means there will be a lot of bleary eyed Buffalonians voting for President the next day!
  • The Jacksonville game after Thanksgiving could be super important for two building teams.  Or a real dog.
  • Two of the three in a row December home games are instant sell-outs: Pittsburgh and Cleveland fans travel very well.  The Miami will sell out IF it is meaningful.  If not…might be dreary.

Rob’s Quickie Schedule at a glance prediction:  The Bills win the first 3, lose the next 2, then trade wins and losses till they win the last 4 in a row to go 10-6.  Or it gets ugly, and Rex is gone after the Thanksgiving weekend Jacksonville game!
