Our first Nurses' Month winner is Andrea Lambert!! She has been working as a nurse at Sisters Hospital for 29 years. She went into nursing because she has always been a people person and constantly puts people in front of herself and loves caring for people and seeing them get better, knowing she’s made a difference. The thing she loves the most about her job is the people she works with, she has an awesome team! Outside of work she likes hiking, gardening, traveling and anything on the water!

Her daugher Julia nominated her, and this is her entry:
"My mom has been a nurse for over 25 years. She is the most compassionate person I've ever known, and continues to go out of her way to put others first. Not only at the hospital, but at home as well. She has a son with cerebral palsy who is now 22 years old. From the moment she wakes up, to the moment she closes her eyes she is taking care of others and putting herself second. She recently moved in with her parents to help them as they get older, and along with her son, her brother who has Down's syndrome also lives in the house. You will never hear a complaint from my mom and even when she's had a bad day it doesn't show. If there is anything she can do to help someone, she will make sure it's done. She is not a stranger to 12 hour days at the hospital, but she still comes home ready to take care of her family. She started as a floor nurse and throughout her career she took the steps needed to become the nurse manager of units within her hospital. Her entire life has been dedicated to others and understanding each person’s different situation. I would love for my mom to see that her kindness, and hard work is recognized by many. She didn't choose nursing, nursing chose her."
