The Great Steak Football Bet Gone Wrong

I don't follow college football that closely but I follow terrible bets!

Apparently no one expected the University of Michigan to blow out Rutgers during Saturday night's football game—least of all the Ann Arbor location of Ruth's Chris Steak House. They offered fans a percentage off of their meals equal to the point differential in the final score of the game, the Detroit Free Press reports. "Attention #UMfootball fans! When Michigan wins, you win!" read the Friday Facebook post announcing the deal.

Here's the issue: The final score turned out to be Wolverines 78, Scarlet Knights 0, the largest spread in more than 70 years, meaning … 78% off of everyone's tab? The steak house allowed for only a 50% reduction on the bill.
