50 Dead, Hundreds Injured at Music Festival in Las Vegas

Suspected shooter has been identified

October 2, 2017

At least 50 people have died from gunshot wounds and at least another 400 were injured after the largest mass shooting in the United States unfolded during an outdoor concert last night in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Las Vegas Police Department Sherrif Joseph Lombardo explained in a news conference that officers responded after reports of shots fired from 32nd floor of the Mandaly Bay hotel and resort.

The suspect was described as a "local resident", and is dead, and the police believe there are no other shooters.

The LVPD Sherrif identified 64-year-old Stephen Paddock as the suspected shooter.

Many of our country music family were playing at this event, and our thoughts and prayers go out to them.

Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe. My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night. #heartbroken #stopthehate
